The Lost Bus knows what it is about

The narrative presents ideas without knowing how to weave them into a clear story.

Aztec Batman is shockingly well written, and a great example of taking a strange premise to its fullest extant.

I left a little disappointed with the lack of deep thought from the writer’s room.

The writer/director has a tremendous amount to say here, and he couldn’t have picked a better time to introduce it to the world.

The Paper triumphs where many before have fallen

While Black Rabbit didn’t blow me away, it’s a dark crime thriller similar enough to Ozark to make me enjoy my time.

Twisted Metal continues to be a standout series

Alien: Earth proves this franchise still has plenty of terrifying life left in it.

A jaded picture of existence does not make for an easy watch.

You don’t need a movie to explain everything by the end, but when it’s over, it at least needs to make sense. HIM fails at this very simple task.

Ultimately, the negatives balanced out the positives for me, and I ended up landing rather net neutral on A Big Bold Beautiful Journey.
